About

About Clay and ClayDevelops.

Who is Clay

Hi, I'm Clay, a life-long learner with a love for solving problems (and for adding 5x more projects to my todo list than I can complete). I am always studying or learning something, reading on random subjects, or working on a random project, though I'm learning to focus my energies. Most recently I've been doing a lot of 3d printing (including some of my own amateur designs), building software platforms, learning to use LLMs effectively for project design and development, and playing survival / crafting / automation games (Oxygen Not Included being my favorite for years). I am slowly delving into art a bit, learning to embrace the things that in a way make me feel most exposed and vulnerable.

I currently pay the bills as a Software Engineer. It's a good skill to have, but a person is so much more than their employment (Identity is a great topic for a blog post, but I won't digress here).

What is ClayDevelops?

I see ClayDevelops as a platform where, most of all, I can keep myself accountable to myself and all of you, to keep making progress in my tech and other goals and projects. I also hope that some of my learnings can also help others out there, so I want to share. I will likely also post non-technical thoughts etc, such as about identity as I mentioned above, which is why I separated the blog from the learning / article section.

This site is for me, but it's also for you. Let me know what works and doesn't work for you, and if I agree I'll update it accordingly. I'd love to hear from you.

Passionate full-stack developer creating innovative solutions and sharing knowledge with the community.
